Rules: You must build your character off of this frame
( http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/405833 ). You are allowed to add 20 pieces to the frame to customize your character. But the pieces on the head do not count. And you have 4 pieces for the weapon.
You can change the frame if you get enough points.
Overall objective: Your goal is to combat with other players to decide who is the most powerful warrior on Doran.
Parts: Upon the creation of your character, you are given a certain amount of parts to put onto your character frame (provided on the group homepage). Parts are organized as follows:
Frame- You are allowed 20 parts to cover the frame of your character upon entering the RPG. This includes:
-hero factory armor peices
-Bionicle or technic peices
-system parts (may be limited)
-pins and axles
-pneumatic hoses, t joints, etc.
-custom parts* - non-lego elements (capes, hoses, etc.)
IMPORTANT - parts for hands and feet count toward part limits. Foot peices that require ball-joint connectors count as 1 part together. Parts for the head, including brain/face and mask, are NOT counted towards your part limit.
Weapons- you are allowed a total of 4 parts for weapons upon starting the rpg. A weapon is something that attaches to the hand parts of your character. Exceptions would only include wrist mounted weapons. Any other exceptions must be approved by Toa Trextal or another judge.
Points- As you progress through the game, you will receive points based on how well you meet the requirements of monthly missions or through free builds approved by Toa Trexal. You will use these points to add more parts to your character's frame or increase your weapon part limit. Points are valued as followed:
1 (2) frame or armor part(s)= 5 (10)points
1 (2) weapon part(s) = 5 (10) points
These values are subject to change and special part types such as custom parts may cost more points. These will updated as time passes. If you have any ideas or suggestions, please feel free to ask in the questions thread.
Monthly missions- This is the core activity of which this group is centered. Each month, a new mission will occur to give players the opportunity to collect points and strengthen your character.
Scores-The highest possible score for these missions is 10 points. Scores will be determined based on the following criteria:
- presentation - clear and presentable images that show off your moc. (Image editing technology is a plus, but not necessary)
- relevance - how well you adhere to the requirements and criteria for each mission.
- writing and storytelling - How well thought out your story is and overall creativity (correct grammar is a plus, but not necessary)
Map- the land of Doran is divided into 7 parts:
- North Jungle (NJ)
- West Jungle (WJ)
- East Forest (EF)
- South Forest (SF)
- Upper Waters (UW)
- Connection Waters (CW)
- Lower Waters (LW)
Players will start out in one of these areas upon beginning the game and will be able to move to adjacent areas every monthly mission. If two or more players are in each area, they will able to interact with each other.
Battle- When interacting with players in your same area during a monthly mission, you will have the choice of facing them in combat. These battles will take the form of free builds with the characters of the players involved.
Challenges- Players will be able to instigate 1 battle per month. This is subject to change in the future, but for right now, only 1. You have the choice of not declaring battle, as it is not a requirement for the group. When you challenge another player, you have the opportunity to receive points!!!
Receiving challenges- If you receive a challenge from another player, you an do one of two things.
1. Accept- if you accept the challenge, you will have the opportunity to get 3 points for your character if you win, and lose 2 points if lose.
2. Decline- If you decline the challenge, neither you nor your opponent will get points.
Alliances- When interacting with players within your area, you also have the opportunity to form alliances. Alliances can be made by two players in the same area, which lasts for the next 2 monthly missions. Players can only be part of 1 alliance at a time. If you wish to make an alliance with another player, you have to wait until your current alliance expires.
Alliance Battles- Alliances are important in giving advantages in battles. You can team up with your alliance members to guard against attack or go on the offensive!
1. Attacking- If you declare battle on another player, your ally may join in as well.
2. Defending- If you are attacked by another player, your ally may join and defend you.
Battle system: the battles are declared in the mission threads. The winner is decided when the mission is over. Whoever scores the most points in the mission is the winner of that battle. And yes you can tie, and nothing will happen. In a battle with alliances the allied players scores will be added up.
P.S: If you have not been here before mission 1, just read all the missions you haven't done. It's not a rule, but it will be very helpful.
And that's it! Have fun!!
